KBS News Blocked K-pop Fans Who Support Palestine?

Korean broadcasting station KBS News allegedly blocked K-pop fans who show support for Palestine amid humanity crisis.

Previously on February 23, a protest truck was sent to the building of HYBE Labels from ARMYs (fans of BTS, with support from other fandoms of HYBE artists), demanding the company to consider the humanity crisis on-going in Palestine.

In particular, the truck called for HYBE to sack HYBE America’s CEO Scooter Braun, who is not only a long-time supporter of Israel, but is also known to have “threatened” a Palestine supporter in the past.

Through the truck, fans also asked HYBE to cancel other collaborations with people and companies who sponsor the crisis in Palestine,

In hope of further spreading this sentiment, fans started to mention Korean news outlets and broadcasting stations to get them to cover the issue.

However, according to some fans, KBS News not only blocked them after being tagged, but also hid all the replies under its posts that has the hashtag “#HYBEDivestFromZionism”.

This applies to both Korean fans and international fans, raising speculation about KBS’s view regarding the crisis in Palestine.
