j-hope’s documentary unveils a candid account of the artist’s self – realization

“j-hope IN THE BOX” captures j-hope 10 long years of establishing himself onstage.

Recently, BTS announced the release of the members’ solo documentaries. “j-hope IN THE BOX” shows fans a different side of the bubbly and fun artist. It unveils the singer’s journey to break out of his comfort zone, tied strongly with BTS, find, and assert himself onstage.

The documentary is a cumulative effort that leads to the height of his career – the Lollapalooza music festival. j-hope became the first Korean artist to headline the festival in its history, recording the biggest numbers of sold tickets in the last 31 years. His 1-hour performance garnered nearly 15 million views through Weverse and welcomed 105,000 festival-goers on-site.

At the festival, j-hope was touched by the support he received and thanked them all for giving him a firm belief in himself.

“j-hope IN THE BOX” reveals the soloist’s preparations in raw, candid footage. There are times he forgets about choreographies or experiences immense stress from taxing hours of practice. Nonetheless, the BTS rapper keeps on going in hopes of affirming and realizing the best version of himself.

“j-hope IN THE BOX” is the next in line in the “BTS Solo Documentaries” series, alongside “SUGA: Road to D-DAY.” This is a part of BTS’s 10th debut anniversary and j-hope’s gift to fans before he joined the military.
