IVE “We’re satisfied with recent settlement, treatment from company changed”
Girl group IVE revealed their satisfaction with the settlement and changes in treatment
On May 2nd, IVE members An Yujin, Jang Wonyoung, Liz and Rei appeared on the YouTube channel “DdeunDdeun” for the “mini Pinggyego” segment, where they shared various stories.
An Yujin said, “Even though I debuted as an idol, I have opportunities to attend fashion weeks. Nowadays, idols have so many opportunities.” Jang Wonyoung shared, “These days, it’s great that not only idols but also people in various fields can have diverse experiences.” Liz added, “There are so many things I want to try. I feel like a newborn baby just starting out.”
Rei said, “Our popularity in Japan is overwhelming. We entered Tokyo Dome. It feels like a dream. It has been my goal since debut, so I’m very honored.” She revealed her connection with K.Will, “I went to the company on settlement day, and he was there. I feel like it’s going to be a good day when I meet him.”
Regarding the settlement, Rei humorously said “I can buy all the toast here“, bringing laughter. She added, “I recently made some overseas purchases. I bought pretty accessories, but the price was quite high. I bought a lot of hairpins. After receiving the settlement, I felt like giving gifts to people, so the amount increased.”
Yoo Jae-suk remarked, “As popularity and achievements increase, the treatment from the company changes.” An Yujin agreed, saying, “They’ve always treated us well, but it’s really great that they listen to our opinions. It’s much more fun as participation and involvement in album preparations increase.” Jang Wonyoung added, “I participated in writing lyrics this time, so my affection for the album increases.”
An Yujin mentioned, “I tend to have a lot of worries and concerns ahead of promotions. I couldn’t sleep well many times. But this time, it feels really amazing and fun. I want to go up on stage and dance quickly.” She confessed, “If there’s any concern, it’s about what aspect of me is attractive. Even on stage and variety shows, fans may feel different attractive points inside me.”
Meanwhile, IVE recently released their second EP album “IVE SWITCH”. “IVE SWITCH” is an album where IVE, which has shown a distinct color, tells a new story in their own style.
