IU Defeated BTS and LE SSERAFIM as Most Popular Photo among K-pop Idols 

Media site News1 recently established a platform called “Star 1 Pick”, which includes a “Star 1 Pick-K-Pop” and “Star 1 Pick-K Trot”, where the Top 5 most popular photos of K-pop idols and trot stars in the last 2 weeks are revealed. 

According to data compiled from March 25 to April 7, 2024, IU claimed the top spot in the K-pop idol category. 

Particularly, IU, who is currently conducting the “2024 IU H.E.R. World Tour”, garnered attention for her recent departure for overseas schedules. Wearing a leather blue jacket, a comfortable sweatshirt, and training pants while covering her face with a hat and a mask, IU greeted fans with a bright smile, captivating their attention. IU will continue her world tour until August, with an encore concert scheduled for September at Seoul World Cup Stadium.

Following IU in second place is BTS. Even as all members are fulfilling their military duties, they maintain steady communication with fans through platforms like Weverse. Particularly, photos of members preparing for enlistment have drawn interest. Currently, BTS consists of active-duty soldiers Jin, J-Hope, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook, along with Suga, who is serving as a public service worker. Among them, Jin set to complete his service and be discharged in June.

Taking the third spot is LE SSERAFIM. Making a comeback in February, LE SSERAFIM garnered attention when member Kazuha attended a cosmetics brand event, showcasing a fashion statement with a black mini dress and a revealed shoulder. Currently active with songs like “EASY” and “SMART”, LE SSERAFIM continues its successful streak.

NCT secures the fourth spot. With various units actively promoting, NCT’s newest unit, NCT Wish, made its debut a month ago and has been attracting attention with interviews and a refreshing school look visual.

Finally, in 5th place is Stray Kids. Enjoying global popularity, Stray Kids stand out with their unique fashion sense and visuals showcased through social media and photoshoots. They are set to headline at one of the largest music festival in North America, “Lollapalooza”, scheduled to take place in Chicago in August.
