“Penthouse” star Yoon Joo-hee appeared in the same CF as Kim Hee-sun before her acting debut
While studying at Kongju Communication Arts College to become a stewardess, Yoon Joo-hee walked on the path of an actress by chance. She made her debut as a model in 2004 after winning No.1 at a beauty contest hosted by cosmetics brand DHC Korea.
Later, Yoon Joo-hee got a chance to shoot a CF with Kim Hee-sun, who was a popular youth star at that time. She appeared alongside Kim Hee-sun and made her face known widely to the public.
While working as a CF star, Yoon Joo-hee debuted as an actress in 2007 through “Likeable or Not”. After that, she continued to show improved acting skills by taking on supporting roles in dramas such as “First Wives’ Club” and “Aquarius”.
After starring in the hit series “The Slave Hunters” as young Jumo, she finally gained recognition from viewers. Following the success of “The Slave Hunters”, Yoon Joo-hee got her first lead role in “Quiz of God” (2010) and then showcased more impressive acting performances in “The Flower in Prison” (2016), “Risky Romance” (2018), “The Fiery Priest” (2019) and “I Wanna Hear Your Song” (2019).
In 2020, Yoon Joo-hee was cast to play Go Sang-ah, one of the main characters in all 3 seasons of the “Penthouse” series. In Season 1, Go Sang-ah was normal and not very violent compared to other characters. However, a twist occurred in Season 2 and she was sentenced to prison in the end. In particular, Yoon Joo-hee’s comedy acting with Bong Tae-gyu (as Lee Kyu-jin) added a pleasant atmosphere to the drama.
Meanwhile, Yoon Joo-hee recently starred in “The Real Has Come!” as Ahn Jae-hyun’s brother-in-law and left a great impression on viewers.
