Anne-Marie and (G)I-DLE Minnie to have “the greatest collaboration ever”

A special collaboration between British singer Anne-Marie and Minnie, a (G)I-DLE member, has been finalized.

According to a Hankyung.com coverage on February 15th, Anne-Marie and (G)I-DLE’s Minnie recently finished discussing their collaboration. Pre-release work, such as recording the collaboration song and filming a promotional video, has also been completed.

It is expected that music fans around the world will respond enthusiastically to the meeting of the two artists with unique tones.

Anne-Marie is a British pop star who received a lot of love in Korea with her song “2002”. Known as a representative singer, she held her first solo concert in Korea in April 2019 and started communicating with her Korean fans. In July of the same year, when a scheduled festival appearance was canceled, Anne-Marie became a hot topic by holding a free performance directly for disappointed fans.

In 2022, Anne-Marie visited Korea to attend the music festival “Slow Life Slow Live”. At the time, the pop star delighted her fans by appearing in various contents such as YouTube channel “MMTG” and Dingo Music’s “Killing Voice”.

Meanwhile, (G)I-DLE, to which Minnie is a member, debuted in 2018. The girl group has since gained attention with various songs such as “LATATA”, “Hann”, “Senorita”, “Oh My God”, “LION”, “TOMBOY”, and most recently, “Nxde”.

Last year, (G)I-DLE made headlines with back-to-back hits. From “TOMBOY” to “Nxde”, they achieved perfect all-kills on domestic music sites and established themselves as a “music powerhouse”. The group’s fifth mini-album “I LOVE”, which includes “Nxde”, also ranked 71st on the US Billboard’s main album chart, “Billboard 200”, helping (G)I-DLE enter the chart for the first time since their debut.
