After “Business Proposal”, “Jinxed At First”‘s female lead that stepped straight out of the comic book

“Jinxed At First” is gaining decent successes.

Early 2022 introduced K-drama fans to many webtoon-based series, with “Business Proposal” being among the prime entries. The series basically boosted idol-actress Kim Sejeong to a top star, and earned her nicknames like “webtoon queen” and “visual that stepped out of comic books”.

Now that we’re entering June, it seems that there’s another rom-com webtoon adaptation following the success of “Business Proposal” – “Jinxed At First”. In this series, SNSD member Seohyun assumes the role of the female lead Lee Seul Bi, a “goddess of luck” who has the power of premonition. However, her ability caused her to be locked up and taken advantage of, before she finally escaped and met resident unlucky guy Soo Kwang (played by Na In Woo).

As of the moment, 3 episodes of “Jinxed At First” have aired, earning numerous positive comments regarding Seohyun’s performance. Despite debuting as an idol, it seems that Seohyun is doing a great job in the acting industry, and her visuals are even praised to look exactly like the original comic.

So far, this new K-drama is pretty light-hearted, healing, hilarious, and well-loved. Its viewership rating rose to 4.2% in the 3rd episode, promising a high potential.
