Adapted from the famous webtoon of the same name, the drama “All Of Us Are Dead” has some different interesting details which are added for it to fit current society’s situation.
“All Of Us Are Dead” is a drama adapted from the webtoon of the same name, published from 2009 – 2011. Although the original content is mostly kept by the film crew, many developments in the drama have been cleverly changed by the scriptwriter to bring a new breeze to the audience. Let’s take a look at some of the differences between the TV version and the original “All Of Us Are Dead.”
1. The characters’ appearances are “upgraded” from the webtoon’s
It can be seen that the “All Of Us Are Dead” crew has changed the style of the 5 main characters in the drama to make them look more modern. In addition, unlike the drama, the heroine On Joo in the webtoon is strong-minded and mature for her age.
2. Class President Nam Ra (Cho Yi Hyun) and Soo Hyuk (Park Solomon) have no loveline in the webtoon
In “All Of Us Are Dead,” Nam Ra and Soo Hyuk are the most loved couple by the viewers because of their cute loveline. However, in the webtoon, this couple are just good partners. Only the main couple On Joo (Park Ji Hoo) and Cheong San (Yoon Chan Young) are in love in the original.
In addition, in the webtoon, Nam Ra injured her eye while fighting zombies, so she contracted the virus. This is different from the detail where she was bitten by the villain Gwi Nam in the drama “All Of Us Are Dead.”
3. Origin of the virus
Similar to the drama, the zombie virus in the webtoon was spread because of science teacher Lee Byung Chan. However, its real origin started when the teacher went fishing in the sea with his son Jin Soo, who suddenly turned into a zombie the next day. Even the government has not been able to find the cause. In the webtoon, Byung Chan committed suicide while being investigated instead of sacrificing himself like in the drama.
4. The webtoon has a relatively “happy ending” where Nam Ra survives and lives well. However, the epidemic is not over yet
Class president Nam Ra had a relatively happy ending in the webtoon. Nam Ra was taken to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as she was one of the people immune to the virus. She still lives peacefully and safely with her friends after that. As for the students, they decided to write and publish books about the terrible pandemic that took place in Hyosan. Everything was thought to have stopped here, but the virus had spread through the water to Japan. Two Japanese residents went fishing and were bitten by worms. They turned into zombies and the disaster is about to begin in Japan.
“All Of Us Are Dead” has now been fully released on Netflix.
