Yonsei University’s festival Akaraka, which is said to create legends every time, presented a great singer lineup once again.
On Sep 24th, the Akaraka Festival hosted by the Yonsei University cheering squad was held at Yonsei University’s Sinchon Campus Outdoor Theater in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.
The festival drew attention from many people as it was held for the first time since 2019 due to the spread of COVID-19. Akaraka requires paid tickets to enjoy it, so the lineup is kept completely private until the day of the event to prevent the prevalence of illegal tickets.
Many people guessed the event’s lineup, but it was NewJeans, whom no one expected, to come out as the first batter. NewJeans appeared in sporty blue outfits, which can be called Yonsei University’s symbol color, and made the audience go crazy.
Afterwards, 10CM and BIG Naughty appeared and presented performances that captured emotion and fun. Besides, LE SSERAFIM, Winner, IVE and Zico also appeared one after another, inducing “crowd-singing” and heating up the stage.
In particular, LE SSERAFIM received applause for wearing costumes with the Yonsei University logo.
Users of the online community “theqoo” responded enthusiastically, such as “Look like an awards ceremony”, “They brought all the popular groups there”, “Is this a festival or MAMA?”, “All the hottest 4th generation female idols these days gathered” and “When I watched fancams, I felt that crowd-singing was crazy.”
