This marks her first comeback to the small screen after nearly 3 years of absence since finalizing the divorce with Song Joong Ki.
Song Hye Kyo always makes an impression with her professional acting skills and natural transformation into each character in TV series. Moreover, Now, We Are Breaking Up is drawing much attention because it belongs to the melodrama genre, where Song Hye Kyo can well portray her emotions and sophisticated acting.
Song Hye Kyo is often dubbed “the Melo queen” of Korean TV as she has starred in a series of hit dramas from the 2000s until now such as: Autumn in My Heart, Full House, Worlds Within, That Winter, The Wind Blows, Descendants of the Sun and Encounter. In each work, Song Hye Kyo successfully portrays the common feelings of love from a multidimensional perspective. Her gorgeous eyes, sometimes cute, sometimes sad, are the main highlight of her acting.
Compared to her other dramas about a fairytale-like romance, Now, We Are Breaking portrays the relatable aspects of love and breakups of a couple in their 30s with many layers of emotion.
Song Hye Kyo’s character Ha Young Eun, is the design team leader of a fashion company, a character that realistically embodies the work and relationship of a middle-aged woman.
