Song Joong-ki & Kim Soo-hyun Made ‘Legendary Reunion’ After 15 Years On “Queen of Tears”

Actors Song Joong-ki and Kim Soo-hyun reunited after 15 years and created a legendary two-shot scene in “Queen of Tears”

Song Joong-ki and Kim Soo-hyun worked together in SBS’s drama “Will It Snow for Chrismas?”, which aired in 2009. Back then, Song Joong-ki played Ji Yong, the older brother of the female lead Han Ji-wan (teenage Ji-wan by Nam Ji-hyun), while Kim Soo-hyun appeared as the male lead (Go Soo) in his teenage days.

Portraying the main characters’ childhood stories, Kim Soo-hyun and Nam Ji-hyun gained huge attention from viewers. Song Joong-ki increased fans’ immersion in the story by making a special appearance as the older brother who died after diving into the river to find the necklace for his sister.

Despite their short screen time, both Song Joong-ki and Kim Soo-hyun left great impressions on viewers. Kim Soo-hyun, with his unique rough appearance as a rookie actor, looked rebellious with charismatic eyes and a lonely vibe. Song Joong-ki excellently expressed the sweet side of an older brother who cares a lot about his sister.

After that, Song Joong-ki and Kim Soo-hyun grew step by step and became leading actors in the Korean film industry. As both are now top stars, it is not easy to see them both in the same project. Therefore, the news that Song Joong-ki and Kim Soo-hyun would reunite in “Queen of Tears” immediately became a huge event.

In the recent episode of tvN’s “Queen of Tears”, starring Kim Soo-hyun, Song Joong-ki showed up as Vincenzo, the divorce lawyer of Hong Hae-in (Kim Ji-won) and met with Baek Hyun-woo (Kim Soo-hyun). The actor decided to make a special appearance in this drama because of his friendship with director Kim Hee-won, who created his previous drama “Vincenzo”.

After the broadcast, netizens poured enthusiastic reactions over the two-shot scene of Kim Soo-hyun and Song Joong-ki after 15 years. They commented, “The child actors in ‘Will It Snow for Chrismas?’ are legends”, “It’s amazing to see top actors together like this”, “I can’t believe that I’m seeing them again after they grew up”, “I agree with this combination”, etc.
