Song Hye Kyo defended and Song Joong Ki condemned as netizens recalled the couple’s divorce 

Netizens are bringing up the divorce between Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki, this time defending the actress against past accusations. 

Recently on the Korean forum Pann, an article titled regarding the past marriage of Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo drew attention. 

In particular, the article mentioned that Song Hye Kyo was always the one being criticized throughout the entire relationship, and even after the two became strangers. 

“During her divorce with Song Joong Ki, Song Hye Kyo had to face off against her former husband as well as against the media. A lot of people claimed that Song Hye Kyo was the one at fault because she kept silent, even going as far as to say she couldn’t live without men. They brought up Song Hye Kyo’s dating rumors and called her a seducer based on inconclusive information. But now, it is Song Joong Ki that met a new girlfriend just a few months after divorce and getting married,” the original poster wrote. 

Under the comment section, many netizens express their agreement via comments such as, “Let Song Hye Kyo live in peace already”, “If I’m Song Hye Kyo, I’d regret marrying Song Joong Ki”, and “Song Hye Kyo only interacted with her male co-stars as friends, yet was called a cheater.” 

Some also claimed that it was Song Joong Ki’s side that spread news about his divorce with Song Hye Kyo, even announcing it when the actress was attending a schedule overseas.  In addition, there was also information that Song Joong Ki filed for a one-sided divorce, leading to speculations that Song Hye Kyo was the one at fault. 

“If Song Hye Kyo was a ‘men collector’ like the antis said, then Song Joong Ki is a ‘marriage collector’,” one even wrote. Others also brought up past negative comments of Song Hye Kyo “being heartless due to growing up in a single-parent family”. 

Nevertheless, there are still fans who take a neutral stance, saying that a divorce is the fault of neither party, and that people need to move on from Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki’s past marriage already.
