“Moving” Stole the Spotlight at the 2023 Busan International Film Fest, “The Glory” Song Hye Kyo Missed Major Award
At the 2023 Busan International Film Festival, “The Glory” lost to “Moving” in the prestigious Asia Contents Awards category
Beside Asia Contents Awards. Disney+’s “Moving” also swept up other remarkable awards, including the Best Creative Award, Best Writer (for screenwriter Kang Full), Best Lead Actor (Ryu Seung Ryong), Best New Actor (Lee Jung Ha), Best New Actress (Go Yoon Jung), and Best Visual Effects. In total, “Moving” won a total of six awards, establishing its dominance at this year’s festival.
As for Netflix’s hit “The Glory” Lim Ji Yeon was the sole winner at this year’s Busan International Film Festival with the Best Supporting Actress award.
Despite her victory as Leading Actress in TV at the prestigious Baeksang Arts Awards within the domestic sphere, Song Hye Kyo missed out on a major award for her role in “The Glory” at the Busan International Film Festival. Even screenwriter Kim Eun Sook of “The Glory” was empty-handed despite her nomination.
Song Hye Kyo not winning at the Busan International Film Festival left many fans feeling disappointed. Nevertheless, Song Hye Kyo’s portrayal of Moon Dong Eun in “The Glory” continues to receive high praise, as the character represents her impressive transition from the queen of romance dramas to the lead of a revenge series.
