Japanese netizens suspect a set in Girls’ Generation’s “FOREVER 1” MV of plagiarism

Controversy was sparked over a set in Girls’ Generation’s 15th anniversary MV.

On August 12th, a Japanese netizen on Twitter pointed out that the emblem celebrating Girls’ Generation’s 15th anniversary seen in the group’s “FOREVER 1” MV looked similar to the emblem of Tokyo DisneySea’s 15th anniversary.

Japanese netizens who saw the comparison photos left comments, “This looks too similar to be called a coincidence”, “It’s the same”, and “Not only the 15th anniversary logo, but the surroundings are also very similar.”

Korean netizens also acknowledged the striking resemblance and commented, “The font is identical”, “Who was in charge of this”, and “Why did you do this to Girls’ Generation?”

Meanwhile, Girls’ Generation made a comeback on August 5th as a full group for the first time in 5 years and released their 7th full album “FOREVER 1” with the title track of the same name.
