Idol group member accused of illegally filming a woman’s “naked body”

Group Spectrum’s member Hwarang (real name Park Jong-chan, 28) was accused of “illegal filming of women”

According to TV Daily’s exclusive report on Oct 4th, Park was previously accused in August of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (filming using cameras, etc.).

In late July, Park allegedly invited A, a non-celebrity woman in her 20s whom he got to know through SNS, to his house. While A was asleep, heavily intoxicated, Park undressed her without her consent and illegally filmed her naked body.

The situation at the time of the incident was as follows. The two had their first meeting on July 30th after communicating through SNS. They met somewhere in Seoul then moved to Park’s house.

Through her complaint, A claimed, “I drank more than usual at Park’s house and fell asleep due to the effects of alcohol. I woke up because of the camera flash and the sound of video recording. Park was filming my naked body. Even though I was drunk and disoriented, I was scared and told him not to film by waving my hands. I was afraid that Park might distribute the video.”

After the incident, A reportedly experienced severe anxiety to the point where her daily life became difficult. She developed symptoms of a racing heart at the mere sight of camera flashes, leading her to decide to file a complaint.

Subsequently, A attempted to contact Park, but he changed his contact information as well as sent responses indicating he would report her as a stalker through messages on SNS.

Following the incident, Park recently finished shooting a web drama but was ultimately edited out. Promotional videos featuring Park have also been set to private.

Currently, Park’s SNS accounts are set to private, and even his agency has reportedly been unable to reach him.

Meanwhile, Spectrum is a 7-member boy group that debuted in 2018.
