Chinese Actress Amazes Netizens with Timeless Beauty: 43-year-old Portrays 15-year-old Character

At the age of 43, this Chinese actress still played a 15-year-old character. She recently went viral for her extraordinary beauty.

In 2018, when actress Zhou Xun, now 48, appeared as the lead in the drama ‘Legend of Fuyao,’ viewers criticized her appearance, saying she looked “really old.” At the time, she portrayed the 15-year-old character ‘Fuyao’ at the age of 43, receiving criticism such as “her skin looks really bad,” “you can tell she lost her youth a few years ago,” and “even if she her skin is edited to look smoother, it still doesn’t look good.”

Zhou Xun was deeply shocked by these malicious comments and revealed that she seriously considered plastic surgery. Additionally, the drama itself was controversial due to its low production budget and historical inaccuracies.

However, public opinion among netizens changed when she recently appeared in the new drama ‘Imperfect Victim.’ After the drama aired, viewers praised Zhou Xun’s looks online.

One netizen on Weibo wrote, “Zhou Xun is gradually aging, but she is still beautiful like a fairy,” while another said, “Zhou Xun’s beauty is eternal.” Some complimented her perfect styling and elegant appearance, “I can’t help but take screenshots of the scenes she appears in.

Imperfect Victim

The drama ‘Imperfect Victim’ revolves around a trial triggered by workplace sexual harassment.

The drama garnered significant attention as it coincided with the gradual spread of the ‘MeToo Movement’ in China. Numerous cases of gender discrimination, sexual assault, and blatant violence against women spread across Chinese social media and were subsequently deleted by censorship, igniting the ‘MeToo Movement.’

Zhou Xun, on the other hand, is the first actress in the Chinese-speaking world to have won all three of China’s major film festival Best Actress awards.
