aespa officially surpasses ITZY and enters Top 4 with BLACKPINK – TWICE in the first-week album sales chart
aespa has achieved amazing results both in terms of performance on digital charts and physical album sales with their 1st mini album.
aespa’s latest comeback with Savage has continued to record impressive achievements. The girl group’s 1st mini album has gained a huge amount of support from the public. Not only has aespa captured the hearts of many Kpop fans and general listeners with their high ranks on digital music charts, the girls have also proved that they have got themselves a solid fan base with admirable album sales. Although ‘Savage’ marks the first time aespa released a physical album, it has sold more than 276,800 copies in the first week.
With this number, aespa officially enters the Top 4 among the list of Kpop female groups with the highest first-week album sales. Over a week ago, ITZY sold 259,705 copies of their first full album Crazy in Love within the first week, which helped them rank 4th in the chart. However, with aespa’s new achievement, the SM’s rookie has now taken ITZY’s position, pushing their rival of the 4th generation to the 5th place. This also means that in terms of first-week sales, aespa only ranks lower than the famous trio BLACKPINK, IZ*ONE, TWICE, and at the same time surpasses other popular Kpop girl groups, including Red Velvet, their senior group of the same company.
Achieving such high first-week sales, considering the fact that aespa is still a less than one-year-old rookie, it goes without saying that the group has totally impressed Korean netizens, who have left many positive comments praising the group:
As expected of jjang-spa!
aespa is truly a monster rookie. All of the group’s songs are great.
This is their first physical album but it has already sold this well.
Wow, aespa’s amazing. The entire ‘Savage’ album is 10 out of 10.
aespa has become a top girl group at this point.
aespa is the best. They’re great at selling albums. Hopefully they will sell more than 300,000 copies next time.
I’m so proud of aespa!
