NMIXX Kyujin had to hand a baby back to their mother after they accidentally crawled onto the stage.
At the moment, NMIXX is holding the “NICE TO MIXX YOU” Showcase Tour where the JYP girl group tours across cities in the U.S. and Asia, starting with Seattle’s Moore Theatre on May 2nd.
During their performance at the Moore Theatre, an unlikely incident occurred. According to Page Six, a baby crawled onto the stage. Upon seeing the baby, NMIXX Kyujin expressed her serious concerns. She picked up the baby and handed them over to their parent almost immediately. In addition, she also reminded the parent to keep their child safe.
Clips recording the event from various angles went viral online. From another perspective, Kyujin was also seen interacting playfully with that child. Nonetheless, her priority was to ensure the child’s safety.
The incident attracted mixed opinions from viewers. Some netizens voiced their opinions against the mother who decided to bring her child to the concert. They believed it was dangerous for the child as they could have fallen at any moment, as well as other potential risks. Nonetheless, others believed the incident was actually “adorable and hilarious”, more so when Kyujin expressed her worry.
According to Koreaboo, the mother of the baby seems to be a Kpop fan. Some netizens said they saw the baby at a Stray Kids concert in the audience seating area. They even posted videos and pictures to prove it.
In light of the event and ensuing discussions, the mother of the child explained the situation on her personal SNS. She said that the kid was already placed comfortably in the stroller beside their mother and was well-equipped with noise-canceling headphones. They slept through the performances and only woke up when NMIXX interacted with their fans. That was when the incident happened.
NMIXX is a girl group under JYP Entertainment. They debuted with 7 members in February 2022 with the single album “Ad Mare” and the title track “O.O”. In September 2022, Jinni left the group. NMIXX continues promoting group activities with 6 members.
