Netflix’s original series “The Glory”, starring Song Hye Kyo, continues to prove its popularity by earning a new achievement.
According to OTT integrated search and content recommendation platform Kinolights, “The Glory” ranked 1st place in the rankings of content on all channels for two consecutive weeks, following last week’s No.1.
“The Glory” tells about a woman, who suffered severe school violence during her childhood, carefully preparing a revenge plan to punish the perpetrators. This is writer Kim Eun Sook’s first OTT work and her second collaboration with actress Song Hye Kyo.
After the release of Part 1, actors who play the villains, such as Lim Ji Yeon, Kim Hieora, etc., also received favorable reviews.
“The Glory” topped Netflix Global TOP 10 non-English TV Shows and was recognized as a well-made work after being selected as a “Kino-certified drama” by Kinolights on the 5th day of release. Part 1 is now available on Netflix and Part 2 will be introduced in March.
The 2nd place went to the movie “Confidential Assignment 2: International”, which premiered in September last year. Its story is about detectives, who have their own purposes, gathering to investigate and chase a global criminal organization. Daniel Henny and Jin Sun Kyu joined Season 1 cast Hyun Bin, Yoo Hae Jin, and Im Yoon Ah and successfully created a box-office movie.
Following its release on TVing and Netflix on January 7th, “Confidential Assignment 2” can also be found on Disney+ from January 18th.
“Everything Everywhere All at Once” appeared on Kinolights rankings in 3rd place. This work tells the story that happens when Evelyn, a Chinese immigrant who runs a laundry shop, realizes that she is destined to save her family and the world while being audited by the IRS.
Its cast Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan received Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor in the Musical and Comedy category, respectively, at the 80th Golden Globe Awards. The film will greet the viewers in theaters again with a new version including making footage in March this year.
Meanwhile, Kinolights is a website that provides charts where viewers can check the popularity ranking of movies and content on different OTT platforms, such as Netflix, Wavve, TVing, Disney+ and Watcha.
