As Ahn Bo Hyun and BLACKPINK Jisoo were revealed to be dating, the actor’s past controversies are resurfacing.
On August 3rd, actor Ahn Bo Hyun and BLACKPINK Jisoo were confirmed to be lovers, immediately turning them into one of the industry’s hottest couples. After the two’s dating news however, netizens have been digging up past controversies of Ahn Bo Hyun.
In particular, a “personality controversy” of Ahn Bo Hyun back in 2021 was raised, where the actor had a staff member hold his script for him on the filming site of “Yumi’s Cells”.
Now, another controversy of Ahn Bo Hyun, which also erupted in 2021, have resurfaced,
In particular, at the time, the subscription list of Ahn Bo Hyun’s YouTube channel was revealed, and among those were the extremely controversial channels of Kim Yong Ho and PPKKa. At the time, Kim Yong Ho was notorious for spreading malicious rumors about Korean artists, whilst PPKKa sparked enragement for insulting a female BJ to the point of driving her to suicide.
As the controversy worsened with various criticisms from netizens, Ahn Bo Hyun eventually published an apology and explained the reason behind his subscription list.
“When I first opened the YouTube channel in 2019, I was the channel manager”, the actor wrote, adding, “However, since the second half of 2020, I have given the channel’s management rights to one of my managers. It is only recently that I learned of the manager’s mistake. Now that I have confirmed related information, I would like to formally apologize.”
On the other hand, since past controversies of Ahn Bo Hyun have been re-emerging after dating news with BLACKPINK Jisoo, many netizens show mixed reactions.
For instance, some expressed disappointment and left comments such as, “Jisoo should have found a better man” and “I’m sad that Jisoo dates Ahn Bo Hyun despite him having subscribed to such channels”.
Many, however, continue to show support for the couple, saying things like, “He made a public apology, and it was his manager who was at fault”, and “Jisoo and Ahn Bo Hyun made for a good couple”.
