Lisa set many brand new records on Global video-watching or music-listening platforms like YouTube or Spotify
Around 4 pm (KST) on October 27, Lisa‘s LALISA MV officially surpassed 300 million views on YouTube. This is the title track of the single album of the same name that Lisa released on September 10.
MV LALISA was officially uploaded at 13:00 on September 10, which means it has just reached 300 million views after more than 47 days. Therefore, this is the fastest female Kpop solo artist’s music product to reach this milestone, breaking the old record held by SOLO (Jennie) (6 months and 1 day).
Previously, Lisa‘s solo debut MV reached 100 million views in 49 hours and 5 minutes, making it the fastest music product to reach this milestone on YouTube for a solo artist worldwide. At the 200-million-view milestone, this MV also helped Lisa break the record of a female K-pop solo artist once held by Jennie with SOLO.
A day earlier, YG Entertainment announced that the song “LALISA” surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify. With only 46 days to reach that number, LALISA became the 2nd fastest song of a K-pop solo artist to hit this milestone. But the most surprising thing is that the song holding first place is also hers – a successful b-side song called MONEY.
MONEY has officially reached 100 million streams on Spotify within 37 days of its release. Thereby, the song broke the record that Rosé‘s On The Ground held earlier to become the fastest song of a Kpop solo artist to reach this achievement.
Thus, after only a month and a half of her solo debut, Lisa received mixed opinions, but the youngest member of BLACKPINK has established many impressive achievements. From the title song to her b-side, all of them have achieved great success. Congratulations!
