Chaeyeon explained her rumored loveline with Kim Jong-kook, “I don’t even have his phone number”

Singer Chaeyeon recently appeared on a radio broadcast and mentioned Kim Jong-kook.

Chaeyeon showed up as a guest on MBC Radio FM4U’s “2 O’Clock Date” on November 9th. During the broadcast, apart from introducing her new song called “I Shed Tears Sometimes”, Chaeyeon also mentioned Kim Jong-kook and explained their loveline in the past, which was brought up again recently.

Chaeyeon and Kim Jong-kook met each other for the first time on a program in the past in which stars and fans met each other. After Chaeyeon debuted as a singer, the two reunited on an SBS’s program called “X-Man”. At that time, Kim Jong-kook even called Chaeyeon by her real name and memorized her as his fan, creating a legendary scene. Then in the recently aired episode of “Running Man”, the members mentioned again that moment of Kim Jong-kook and Chaeyeon.

Regarding her loveline with Kim Jong-kook, which was highlighted in “Running Man”, Chaeyeon said, “If the show invites me, I’m willing to join. But, the fact is that I don’t have Kim Jong-kook’s phone number and have never contacted him privately before”. 

She added, “At that time (while filming the show in the past), I was a fan of Kim Jong-kook, and the cast members pushed me into the loveline. I’ve never called him by his name or ‘oppa’. We didn’t have many conversations together, but people just created the love line. Now I really want to have a talk with him privately.”
