SEVENTEEN’s New Song is Banned by KBS, But Fans are Celebrating?

A song from SEVENTEEN’s upcoming album has been banned by the broadcasting station KBS, to the joy of fans.

Recently, KBS released the results for broadcast eligibility for SEVENTEEN’s 4 new songs. According to these results, only 3 out of 4 songs passed the check, with one song being banned from the network for “lyrics that hinder the use of appropriate language, such as indiscriminate foreign words.”

The song in question is “LALALI”, which is a track by SEVENTEEN’s Hip Hop Unit – a team focusing on rapping. This is the reason why the ban, while normally disappointing, is actually welcomed by SEVENTEEN fans.

In particular, considering the reason for the ban, “LALALI” is likely to contain curse words that wouldn’t be censored.

As SEVENTEEN rarely make songs with curse words and harsh tones, the signs that such a song will come out has greatly excited fans.

Across SNS platform X, various fans have shown their excitement – as even though the song is banned from KBS, it can still be performed via other platforms, or even at the group’s concert.
