Lee Byung-hun and Lee Min-jung got married in August 2013 and have a son.
On a broadcast, Lee Min-jung talked about the story behind her marriage to Lee Byung-hun.
Lee Min-jung said, “I first met him at a restaurant through our acquaintances. Back then, I was 25 years old and just started to work in this industry. I dated him for about a year, and he had to work in the States. I was just so passionate as I have just started this work. So we broke up due to differences in opinion about work and marriage. Three years later, I met him again, and we got married.”
Lee Min-jung confessed, “We met again while filming abroad. He called me one day and said, ‘Let’s meet up when I return to Korea.’ And the day we met, we got back together. I delayed our marriage because I wanted to continue my career. But he told me to make a decision. He said, ‘If you choose to marry me, then I will wait for you no matter what, so tell me if you plan to marry me.’ I thought that I would never meet a guy I love this much, and I still wanted to work, but I tied the knot. If I didn’t get married then, then I would never have gotten married. I got married at the age of 32, and I did it at a younger age than I thought.”
On a broadcast, Lee Byung-hun also recalled the time when he had a dream of Lee Min-jung while he was filming overseas and he had decided to call her. In the end, he confessed that they made up again through that phone call, overcame the breakup, and built their love once again.
Recently, Lee Min-jung mentioned her husband Lee Byung-hun on air. On tvN’s entertainment program “You Quiz on the Block”, which aired on Mar 16th, Lee Min-jung said, “I don’t have much stress because I scream and forget whenever I lose my temper, but he is the type to endure the beating.” She then continued, “He’s very nice and gentle because he always tries to go along with what I say. My mom and dad even told me to kill my temper.”
